Career & Academic Planning at CCPS
At Campbell County Public Schools (CCPS), we believe that academic and career planning is essential to student success—both in school and beyond.
Classroom teachers, school counselors, site administrators, families, community partners, and division leaders work together to guide and support every student as they develop their individual K–12 learning vision and post-secondary plan.
Career and academic planning is for all, by all.
Why Career Planning Matters
Connecting schoolwork to real-world goals helps students stay motivated and see the value in their education. By linking academics to post-high school plans, we make learning more meaningful and relevant.
Career Exploration Starts Early
CCPS students begin exploring careers in elementary school through counselor-led lessons, classroom activities, and schoolwide initiatives. These experiences grow in depth and focus as students move through middle and high school—helping them shape personalized pathways for life after graduation.
